Date: April 3, 2025
Venue: Inagh

In a thrilling encounter on April 3rd, Cratloe fought back against a strong start from Inagh
Kilnamona, ultimately securing a hard-fought draw at 3-12 apiece in what proved to be an
entertaining match.
Inagh Kilnamona came out of the blocks with remarkable intensity, taking advantage of the strong
wind in their favor. They quickly rattled Cratloe with two goals and three points before Cratloe could
find their rhythm. It wasn't until the 14th minute that Cratloe registered their first score, with a well-
taken point from Conor Brady.
Fionn Collins followed shortly after, scoring Cratloe's second point from play in the 18th minute.
Brady added another point shortly thereafter, and Collins converted a 40-meter free, bringing
Cratloe's tally to four points. Despite Cratloe's efforts, Inagh Kilnamona continued to dominate,
converting four frees in the second quarter to conclude the first half with a solid lead:
Inagh Kilnamona 2-8, Cratloe 0-5.

The second half saw a rejuvenated Cratloe side take to the field, eager to close the gap. Just two
minutes after the restart, Fionn Collins executed a brilliant solo run from 30 meters out, launching
the ball into the net to give Cratloe a much-needed goal in the 32nd minute. Inagh Kilnamona
responded promptly, scoring two points, one from play and a long-range free.
Collins once again hit the scoreboard, but Inagh Kilnamona answered back with their third goal in
the 38th minute, extending their lead to 3-12 to Cratloe's 1-8 by the 48th minute. However, Cratloe
surged forward in a determined effort to bridge the ten-point gap.
Conor Quinn landed a 65, followed by an exhilarating run and goal from Jack Flynn, who received
a well-timed kick pass from hurleyless O’Doherty on the wing. Collins continued his excellent performance, scoring
two more points—one from play and one from a free—bringing Cratloe to within four points with
just four minutes remaining.
As the match reached a fever pitch, the combo's goalkeeper made a crucial save to deny Jack Flynn
another score. However, Quinn scored another 65 from the resulting play, keeping Cratloe's hopes
alive.
In a dramatic finish, Conor Brady sent the sliotar down to Fionn Collins, who showed great vision to
unselfishly pass to Jack Flynn in the better position, who made no mistake in planting his second goal, levelling the
match at 3-12 with just seconds to spare.
Two minutes of additional time were played with opportunities for both sides, but neither could find
the winning score, and the match ended in a thrilling draw.
Overall, the match showcased Cratloe's resilience and determination, epitomizing the spirit of
hurling in a competitive atmosphere.
