Cratloe delivered a commanding performance in their clash against Doora-Barefield, showcasing their attacking prowess and solid defense in a decisive victory that concluded with a final score of 6-14 to 2-7.
The game kicked off on a dramatic note as Doora-Barefield found the back of the net within the opening three minutes. However, Cratloe responded swiftly, with Oisín Liston opening his account just a minute later. Jack McMahon then scored his first free in the 8th minute, followed closely by
Cian O'Gorman, who marked his senior debut with a point just a minute later. Building momentum, Cratloe’s Stephen Downes and Liston each added to the scoreline, establishing a strong lead by the 12th minute. After a brief spell of play, Doora finally landed their first point from a free midway through the half, but Cratloe were not fazed. Jack McMahon converted another free at the quarter mark, intensifying the pressure on the visitors.
In an explosive turn of events, Cratloe struck two quick goals from O'Gorman and McMahon within a minute, pushing the score to 2-6 to 1-1. Oisín Liston continued his relentless pursuit of goals, adding two more to the tally, and Cian O'Gorman finished the half with a point, leaving the score at 4-7 to 1-1 at the interval.

Welcoming Jack Bermingham from the bench in the second half, Cratloe's momentum only grew. Bermingham announced himself with a goal early on, following on from Liston and McMahon. By the 43rd minute, Cratloe was ahead with 5-11 to 1-6, clearly in control of the match.
The Cratloe defense remained strong under pressure, led by the impressive Pakie “Cultec” O’Gorman, while corner backs Cormac and Richie were relentless in defense. #OverheardOnTheSideline “They are like 2 terriors hunting prey”. A pinpoint pass from Paidi Earls found veteran sharpshooter Padraigh Chaplin in the 52nd minute, contributing to the score of 5-12 to 1-7.
The defining moment came when Robert Frost set up McMahon for Cratloe's sixth goal following a fantastic solo run. The scoring was rounded off with two points from Tomás "Lar" Ryan and another from Jack McMahon, highlighting the team’s collective effort.  In the final minutes, Doora managed to strike back with a well-executed 21-yard free that found the net as Jarlath Donnellan blew the full-time whistle.

Cratloe's management praised the solid contributions from all players, especially the three debutants, Ultan Donnelly, Cian O'Gorman, and David O'Callaghan. Significant impacts were made from the bench with performances from Paidi Earls, Jack Bermingham, and Robert Frost, showcasing the depth of the squad.  This performance sets a strong precedent for Cratloe as they continue their campaign, demonstrating not only individual brilliance but also a robust teamwork that will be crucial in the matches ahead.
